“We started seeing Dr. Victoria when River had colic in her first six months of life. She was crying several hours a day and spitting up frequently.
As any mama will tell you, colic is the absolute worst. It can have you feeling totally helpless and desperate. We tried food sensitivity tests and restricted diets, supplements, probiotics, everything. Although it didn't stop the crying entirely, River was visibly more relaxed and peaceful after her adjustments. We used to joke that we wished Dr. Victoria would just live with us (we still do)! We became more and more convinced that her crying was definitely primarily impacted by her nervous system regulation. Since she was so little, that meant my nervous system regulation (Sami) was also important and adjustments certainly helped me with that.
River is an extremely well adjusted toddler and her adjustments are an ongoing part of keeping her nervous system regulated. We love that Tree of Life gave her a tool so early on that she correlates to being helpful and that she knows how to ask for an adjustment when she needs one. Now her younger brother is loving them, too!

Our 6-year-old son was having chronic ear infections. Not only was he in pain, but he was missing school and extracurricular activities. The year he turned 4, we had to cancel his birthday party and miss trick-or-treating within the span of two weeks due to ear infections. We were very frustrated with what felt like an intractable problem. We were at a loss for what to do.
We treated him with antibiotics over and over again, which made us upset to be pummeling his system with medication so many times in a row. We tried craniosacral therapy, but our son was very uncomfortable during the appointment, so we didn't return. We tried homeopathic medicine, but that didn't keep the infections away. We finally secured an appointment with an Otolaryngologist who recommended an ear tube procedure. However, we didn't want our son to have to undergo surgery unless necessary, nor did we want him to face additional risks when swimming.
We had our first visit as our son was experiencing yet another ear infection. We started seeing Dr. Connor regularly and Jayden has not had another ear infection since we began chiropractic treatment. So - the most important difference to me about this care was that it has proven to be effective at preventing ear infections!
In addition, our son has enjoyed the visits. He was happily confused when we first took him into the Tree of Life office..."This is a doctor?" he asked. "This looks like someone's home!" There were toys to play with, calm lighting, a warm and inviting atmosphere that doesn't feel cold or "medical." Even though our son usually does not feel comfortable with strangers or medical treatments, Dr. Conor has a very gentle presence, and our son is happy to be adjusted.

When I got hurt, I was in a lot of pain and it was obvious that things were really bad - my ankle was the size of a volleyball and black, my knee and hip were both dislocated and my shoulder just wasn’t right. What we didn’t even guess was that I had also badly damaged a disc in my lower spine that was already weak.
It certainly hurt and I was seeing both PT and a couple different doctors but not getting any real relief. They sent me for an MRI, which showed my disc herniated to the point it looked like my spinal cord was cut in half. Pretty scary stuff and that’s when the surgeon tossed out words like “permanent” and “wheelchair”.
Since that’s not my idea of a good time, the hubby and I started looking for options. He was in a networking group that included Dr. Conor Campbell and his wife Dr. Victoria Campbell, the two superheroes behind Tree of Life Chiropractic. We cross-examined him in depth and thank goodness he agreed to treat me anyway. His philosophy is that he’s there to make sure there are no obstacles in the way of full health, then allow the patient to listen to and push their own bodies. In my case, that’s meant a TON of patience on his part because I don’t listen to much of anything consistently.
Dr. Conor’s philosophy dramatically understates his expertise, compassion and willingness to find new options when one path is blocked. I literally can’t find the words to tell you what he’s done for me – I limped into his office on day one, dragging my right leg behind me and I couldn’t even get off the table after he examined me. This past weekend, I put on 4-inch-high heels and danced! Not his favorite activity for me, but I did it with a smile on my face. And throughout this process, Conor has learned new techniques, consulted colleagues and chased ideas to find me the way forward. That’s rare in any doctor, and I can tell you firsthand that he’s one of the very best I’ve ever encountered in this regard. If you’re wrestling with any kind of physical junk, please go see him!
It's been a very long journey already and it’s not over yet, but I know now with his help that I’m going to get where I want to be.

“During my pregnancy, I experienced aching pain in my lower back that made it difficult to sleep or even sit comfortably. The discomfort was relentless and began to interfere with my overall mood. It wasn’t until I found Tree of Life that I finally began to feel relief and move with more ease. Trying to manage that back pain on my own while caring for a toddler felt overwhelming and exhausting. Every night was a struggle, and I was running on empty, just pushing through the pain without any real relief. I tried stretching every day, hoping it would ease the pain, but nothing seemed to make a lasting difference before seeking chiropractic care.
On my initial visit, Tree of Life took the time to evaluate my entire body, not just the point of pain. They developed a plan that would care for my whole body during the remainder of my pregnancy. Seeing my scans for the first time was eye-opening and helped me finally understand the root of my pain. It brought a huge sense of relief and clarity, easing the stress of not knowing what was really going on with my body.
I noticed relief after my first adjustment. They were able to target the areas that were causing the pain and provided the care my body required. Chiropractic care has helped me feel more grounded, both physically and emotionally, as I journey through motherhood. I can show up more fully for myself and my family. It’s been a healing experience that’s allowed me to reconnect with my body and find balance in this season of life.
Chiropractic care has been a vital part of my postpartum recovery, helping me regain physical strength and feel more like myself again. It supported my energy levels, eased tension, and brought a sense of calm that made it easier to bond with my baby and navigate the emotional ups and downs.”

“I was having intense round ligament pain, and even my gait felt uneven, like my whole body was slightly tilted off its axis. I kept feeling this subtle imbalance, almost like an energetic misalignment as much as a physical one. After my first birth, my daughter felt “stuck” on one side of my pelvis, and that memory stayed with me. I knew something wasn’t quite right this time either. My body kept whispering that it needed support, alignment, and a chance to move freely again.
My nervous system was a wreck. I was unraveling from the pace of New York City, where I was always moving, always producing, always on edge. The exhaustion hit me like a wave once I finally slowed down. My body was speaking loud and clear: it was time to soften, to surrender, to get real support. Emotionally, I was burnt out. Physically, I felt like I was carrying years of tension. I knew I needed help transitioning into this new season of motherhood in a healthier, more grounded way.
I tried acupuncture, meditation, and long walks to regulate myself. They absolutely helped, but staying consistent with meditation was hard when my life felt chaotic and overstimulating. Coming to Tree of Life was the first time someone actually named what had been happening inside my nervous system. Everything finally made sense. It felt like they were speaking a language my intuition already knew but couldn’t fully articulate. Their care went deeper, straight to the root, rather than just managing symptoms.
The scans brought so much clarity. It was a full-body yes. Finally, an objective reflection of what I had been sensing for years. My doctor and midwife had brushed off my concerns about misalignment, but the scans showed the truth my body had been trying to express. It was validating, grounding, and honestly emotional. For the first time I felt seen, and I knew healing was actually possible.
The first thing I noticed was a deep sense of calm returning to my system. My body felt more open, more spacious. I started looking forward to each appointment because I could feel myself becoming more flexible, more mobile, and more centered. My moods evened out. Each day felt more manageable, like I could approach motherhood and pregnancy from a grounded, rooted place instead of survival mode.
My labor was night and day compared to my first. I barely had to push, my body just knew, and my baby felt like she was working with me every step of the way. Everything unfolded smoothly, without the sensation of obstruction or resistance that I had before.
Postpartum, which is usually a mentally heavy season for me, felt completely different because of ongoing adjustments. My mind felt clearer, my body felt supported, and Tree of Life genuinely became a light for me during those vulnerable weeks. Being able to support my baby’s nervous system from her earliest days was such a gift. I can still feel the ripple effects of that grounding in her temperament and development today.
Chiropractic care was a lifeline for my nervous system. I tend toward postpartum anxiety and anger, and while those feelings still surfaced, my relationship to them changed. I had more space, more breath, more capacity. I wasn’t spiraling as quickly or reacting as intensely. Even with the sleep deprivation, the overwhelm, and the big transition from a family of three to four, I felt more anchored and more myself. It truly changed how I moved through postpartum, both emotionally and physically.

“It is hard to find the right words that perfectly express our gratitude towards Dr. Conor and his team at Tree of Life Chiropractic. I met Dr. Conor during one of his "Perfect Storm" presentations and left feeling like he had checked all the boxes of what our life was like with our 8-year-old daughter.
She had developed severe anxiety that was not only crippling her everyday life but interfering with our entire family dynamic. It was so severe that she was unable to leave the house without tears and belly aches. Every day was a hard fought battle and we were riddled with guilt and sadness that she was having such a difficult time adjusting to life outside of our house. We had tried many things including anti-anxiety medication at the recommendation of her pediatrician. Nothing was getting better; in fact, the medication was making things worse. That's when I found Dr. Conor.
I would be lying if I didn't admit we were skeptical at first as nothing seemed to make a difference up to this point. After our very first visit, however, it was clear that we were in the right place. When we left, our daughter immediately referred to him as "Calming Conor." That was just the beginning. We never could have imagined the profound effect chiropractic care, and their neurologic approach has had on her. Within just 6 visits we began to see a remarkable difference. We were finally able to leave the house with no tears or belly aches. School drop offs became much easier. She has started to join group events and sports again. Her overall demeanor has greatly improved.
She is now at a point where her teachers have commented on her brighter spirit, and she has been dismissed from her "worry group" with her school counselor. She feels more content and has gained the skills to manage her body and emotions. It has been incredible to see the improvements. No longer skeptics, we shout from the rooftops that Tree of Life Chiropractic has had such a valuable impact, and we are eternally grateful for all they have done to give us our daughter back.

My newborn was having difficulty with reflux and a stiff neck after a long, stressful birth. My son would cry when I would nurse him, and I could tell he was very uncomfortable. Our pediatrician recommended a reflux medication and didn’t have any advice for the neck mobility issue.
I sought out a more holistic approach, and my goal was to get my son off the reflux medication as soon as possible. Around 6 weeks old, I began taking him to Tree of Life thanks to a friend’s recommendation.
We started seeing Dr. Victoria, and immediately felt like we were in great hands. She thoroughly explained the process, asked lots of helpful questions, and I felt heard with the concerns I had for my baby. The initial scans were alarming, and I was so glad we had sought treatment. After a few gentle adjustments with Dr. Victoria, my son’s comfort started to improve during nursing. I noticed great progress in his neck mobility right away! Eventually, we were able to discontinue the medication completely.
Some additional improvements I have noticed are his latch while nursing and his calm temperament. These are two major benefits we hadn’t anticipated! There have been numerous occasions when every baby at my sons’ daycare is sick – except for him. The adjustments have helped boost his immune system!
I recently had a scan done for myself- and have started treatment as well. After already feeling improvements, I am wishing I had done this while I was pregnant!
The Tree of Life family is warm, helpful and my baby is always so happy to see Dr. Victoria, Dr. Conor and Sam! The community aspect is wonderful, and we have learned so much. We are so grateful for them!

My son was diagnosed with Epilepsy on March 29, 2023, two days after my daughter was born. He was only 3. His seizures rapidly became out of control and it felt like we were just throwing medications at him, all we were getting were side effects and no improvement in seizures.
Stress was at an all-time high with a new born and this new absolutely chaotic journey of epilepsy. We had multiple neurology visits, lab work, tests, imaging, nothing was identifying a cause, not to mention he just continued to get worse. I was hopeless. It was by chance that I got connected to Tree of Life. Through social media, a complete stranger told me how her daughter was seen at a chiropractic office in Illinois for a birth injury, not seizures, but their office also helped with seizure and other neurological disorders and depending on where we lived, I should look into it. This was about 6 weeks into our journey, I googled “pediatric chiropractor Portland” and found Tree of Life. I immediately called and left a message and Dr. Conor got right back to me - he said many things, but most importantly, they could help him. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about it now because I was so desperate, and after that phone call, I finally felt a little glimmer of hope. I learned later that the stranger on social media was referring to the practice in Illinois that Dr. Conor and Dr. Victoria were familiar with, they trained with the chiropractor there. It was absolutely meant to be.
We went in for our first visit and met everyone, including infamous Emory. Griffin had his scans and we signed up for three sessions a week. Dr. Conor taught us so much and explained the nervous system and the importance of regulation and balance and how the body handles stimulus. There was no doubt that Griffin’s nervous system was out of control, but I felt confident that we were going to make progress. There were certainly still challenges (ER visits, hospital stays, drug toxicities, medical diets) but our commitment to chiropractic care remained priority in his epilepsy journey, I knew in my heart it was going to help him. At every visit, I got real time feedback as to how Griffin’s body was coping (or not coping) with stress. Over time (and eventual seizure control) we decreased to 2 days a week and more recently to weekly. Griffin actually likes going for treatments. The atmosphere, the kid friendly approach, the entire vibe in the office. It is such a pleasant, happy, and welcoming place.
Today, Griffin has gone over 20 months without any visible seizures. He is now only on 2 medications that we are weaning him off of and he is completely back to himself - a happy, healthy, funny, loving and doting big brother….living without seizures. I give an enormous amount of credit to Dr. Conor, Dr. Victoria, Sam and Emory for making that happen. They have not only helped my son, but I have adopted an entire new appreciation and approach to life – and they didn’t even physically treat me! Because of them, I have learned that my energy is very in sync with my kids and that I needed to regulate and balance my own nerves and feelings. I was a fierce advocate for my son at all of his medical appointments, but they also supported me in continuing to be his advocate when it came to med changes/procedures etc. They were treating him, but supporting me. We needed to learn to slow down and that life doesn’t need to be so chaotic. We have had more quiet balanced weekends, in an effort to let him slow down and calm his body down. We spend more time outside, being present and mostly being thankful for every day we get that is seizure free. Because of them it has been a cascade of positive changes, eating healthier, paying attention to our bodies, eliminating chemicals, meditating….dealing with stress.
I talk openly about chiropractic care and the benefits that can come along with it, we wouldn’t be where we are today without Tree of Life.
